21. The year of adulting. When you get into the big two-oh, parents and people, in general, expect you to act like an adult. Seeing that you'll be graduating from university soon (that if you attend uni), you should know what every adult knows, and it can be overwhelming sometimes and I'm still struggling through this phase of becoming a new adult.
Anyways, here's my list of 21 things that I've learned in 21 years.
- Always put family first.
- Love your body, embrace your every flaw.
- Never be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
- Speak up.
- Work hard and play hard.
- Fast fashion is a waste of your time and money.
- Maintaining an Instagram feed is also a waste of your time.
- Exercise is very important.
- Never limit yourself to eat (but you have to exercise after eating).
- Read news and know more about what's happening in the world.
- Spotify premium is not a waste of your money if it calms your soul.
- Read more books (all kinds of books).
- Get enough sleep.
- Waking up early is the first step to having a productive day.
- Stop paying too much attention to what people say or think about you.
- Believe in yourself.
- Know that everybody has their own weaknesses.
- Empathize. Empathize. Empathize.
- Stop procrastinating (at least try to)!
- Keep a journal.
- Make more good memories with your loved ones.
